Wukong Supervive Guide for Beginners
Mastering Wukong in Supervive: A Beginner-Friendly Guide
Wukong is currently one of the most popular Hunters in Supervive. While his gameplay might initially appear complex, this article will show you how to play him in a surprisingly simple and effective way.
Basic Attack – Dual Functionality
Wukong’s basic attack has two variations depending on how you use the left mouse button: tapping or holding.
Tapping the basic attack is useful for tracking down fleeing enemies. It also allows Wukong to launch a ranged projectile mid-air, which is great for poking before engaging.
Holding the basic attack unleashes a rapid flurry of strikes in front of you, and once released, delivers a final, powerful blow that deals massive damage and staggers minions.
Minions with a purple aura can be staggered to take extra damage when hit with abilities—but Wukong’s final strike also counts, making farming incredibly efficient, even at level 1.
Dragon Slam – Adaptive and Powerful
Wukong’s first ability, Dragon Slam, also has two casting styles based on whether you hold or tap the right mouse button:
Holding the button causes Wukong to elevate into the air. Upon release, you’ll see an indicator. Press the button again to slam down. The higher you go, the larger the hitbox becomes—so using environmental elevation increases its effectiveness.
Tapping allows Wukong to cast the ability without stopping momentum, making it ideal for combo attacks and fast engagements.
Bonus Utility:
Holding Dragon Slam grants a shield, turning it into a defensive option when you’re under pressure.
When performed above an abyss, Wukong can float in mid-air at no cost—perfect for aerial duels.
Dashing – Movement and Elevation
Wukong’s dash (Shift) also has two forms:
Tapping gives a short dash with low cooldown.
Holding for about a second (watch for Wukong’s model flashing) unleashes a longer, elevated dash—ideal for engaging or repositioning.
Combo Potential:
Use the big dash to gain height, then tap Dragon Slam mid-air. This creates a large area-of-effect strike with extended range and mobility. Alternatively, charge Dragon Slam first, then dash to reposition during the channel.
Tree Climbing Trick:
Wukong can climb trees by jumping onto them, which also resets his dash cooldown. This allows him to traverse the map at lightning speed or escape and re-engage during combat with ease. Enemies also lose line of sight when Wukong is in trees, giving him an additional tactical edge.
Ambush / Spin Attack – High Damage AOE
Wukong’s third ability is simple but effective:
First cast turns you into a tree (perfect for misdirection).
Second cast makes you spin, dealing high AOE damage.
This ability is extremely strong and is often the best choice to max out first in your skill tree.
Ultimate – Six-Monkey Strike
Wukong’s ultimate renders him immune to damage briefly, then spawns clones in a circle, each one mimicking the first ability you cast afterward.
The most effective combo is to cast your ultimate, then use Ambush / Spin Attack. This floods the battlefield with spinning clones, creating chaos and immense area damage.
Alternatively, you can cast Dragon Slam for a wide burst or hold your basic attack for heavy targeted damage.
Simple Combo for Arena Matches
Here’s a straightforward combo for real combat scenarios:
Hold Shift to charge the big dash.
Tap Dragon Slam mid-air to engage with extended range.
Hold basic attacks to burst your target, ensuring you release for the final strike.
Activate your Ultimate, followed by Ambush / Spin Attack for high AOE damage.
Escape or chase using your dash—especially effective near trees.
With this combo, you’re ready to dominate in Arena and hone your skills further.
