Blue Protocol: Star Resonance – Kanamia Trial (Hard) Guide
Welcome, adventurers! Today, we’re diving into the Kanamia Trial (Hard) in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. This encounter challenges your awareness, positioning, and coordination—so let’s break down the key mechanics and strategies step by step.
Phase 1: The Opening DPS Window
As the battle begins, you’ll have a brief window to unleash your damage freely before the first major mechanic—Soul Split—comes into play.
Keep an eye on the mechanic timer displayed at the top of your screen, as it announces all upcoming major events in the fight.
Mechanic 1: Soul Split
When Soul Split activates, the boss will mark several players. You can identify if you’re marked by:
Checking your buffs at the bottom of the screen, or
Noticing the blue aura surrounding your screen.
When the debuff timer expires, you’ll drop a soul at your current location. It’s crucial to manage these placements carefully, as they’ll become hazardous later in the fight.
Mechanic 2: Soul Annihilation
Following Soul Split, the boss will cast Soul Annihilation, a cleave attack that targets one player.
The targeted player must:
Draw the cleave away from teammates, and
Avoid hitting any dropped souls on the floor.
To make this easier, have everyone drop their souls near the outer edge of the arena—this ensures the cleave won’t reach them.
Mechanic 3: Soul Pull (AoE Puddles)
After raising his axe, the boss triggers the next major phase. The previously dropped souls transform into AoE puddles that pull players in and can instantly kill them.
To survive:
Move in the opposite direction of the pull, and
Try to stand between two puddles to balance out their gravitational effects.
Once again, dropping your souls at the edges of the arena makes this phase much safer.
Mechanic 4: Spear Summon & Cleave Zones
Next, the boss will summon three spears—destroy them as quickly as possible. Afterward, he’ll leap back to the center and unleash a second cleave attack.
Note that the area struck by the previous cleave remains burned, creating a danger zone you can’t stand on. To conserve space, position the new cleave adjacent to the previous one.
And as always—be mindful not to hit any dropped souls!
Phase Loop
From this point onward, the boss will repeat the same mechanics in the same order. Stay disciplined with soul placements, cleave management, and puddle avoidance, and you’ll have no trouble clearing the fight.
