Ultimate Stormblade Iaido Build Guide – Blue Protocol Star Resonance
Hello guys, here we are with the complete Stormblade Iaido Spec build guide for Blue Protocol Star Resonance. In this guide, I’ll cover everything you need to know about rotation, talents, stats, Imagines, modules, enchantments, and advanced tips for maximizing your DPS.
Rotation Overview
Let’s start with a quick overview of the rotation and talents, similar to my previous videos, and then dive into every detail I know about the class.
Open with Scythe Wheel and cancel its animation with a dodge.
Activate both buffs (X and Z).
Use Volt Surge if you have max Thunder Sigils. If not, first use Ultimate and then Volt Surge.
Enable auto battle with Basic Attack, Iaido Slash, and Flash Strike set, and let it handle the rotation.
When Volt Surge ends, press Overdrive to gain Thunder Sigils. Usually, wait for it to proc at least once from a Basic Attack, then use it even without a proc to maximize your Sigils. The auto rotation will take care of the rest.
When Volt Surge is coming off cooldown, disable auto battle, gather max Thunder Sigils, and then use Volt Surge again before re-enabling auto battle. This ensures Overdrive isn’t wasted inside the Volt Surge buff duration, maximizing damage.
Finally, time your Imagines with your combo just like you did on the opener.
Pro Tip: Auto battle uses Flash Strike on cooldown regardless of Thunder Sigils because Iaido Slash has a chance to reset Flash Strike’s cooldown. It’s more efficient to spam Flash Strike than to wait for max Sigils.
Talents
For talents, we take both sides of Wind Assault for extra critical chance. Then, you can choose between extra critical damage or Mastery—it’s up to your playstyle.
Other key talents:
Flash Sharp Strike: boosts Flash Strike critical chance after casting Iaido Slash.
Flash Frenzy Blade: chance to refresh Flash Strike when using Iaido Slash with max Thunder Sigils.
Thunder Sigil Rewind: chance to gain 1 Thunder Sigil each time you spend one.
Thunder Sigil Rewind 2: doubles the chance but reduces bonus damage per Sigil by 12.5%.
Infinite Thunder: reduces Volt Surge cooldown for every Thunder Sigil spent.
Break Slash: 30% armor penetration, great for single-target damage.
Dual Blade Intent: speeds up Flash Strike animation, critical for burst combos.
Zen Moment: max Blade Intent with every Iaido Slash critical strike.
Stats and Imagines
Critical is the most important stat for Iaido Slash, which is why it’s considered a late-game class. Low-level gear doesn’t provide enough critical chance.
Why more critical chance matters: A talent converts every % of critical chance after 60% into extra critical damage for Iaido Slash, so additional critical chance directly increases your damage.
Mastery increases base damage significantly (25% extra damage per 10% Mastery). Aim for around 40% Mastery for a 100% bonus.
Haste shortens ability animations and speeds up basic attacks, helping proc Overdrive faster and fit more abilities in Volt Surge.
Best Imagines:
Muku Chief: bonus critical chance and damage.
Arachnocrab: bonus Mastery.
Free-to-play alternatives:
Muku Warrior instead of Muku Chief.
Brigant Scout instead of Arachnocrab.
Note: Level 5 Brigant Scout can outperform Arachnocrab until Arachnocrab reaches level 3.
Farming tip: Farm world bosses for their second reward to collect golden materials for legendary Imagines—currently, 14 mats are available.
Modules and Enchantments
Module priorities:
Special Attack Damage
Elite Strike (boosts damage to elites)
Agility Boost
Attack Speed is better than Crit Focus because Crit Focus is partly defensive, while attack speed boosts DPS. Aim for 20 points in Special Attack, then Elite Strike or Agility Boost.
Enchantments:
Ruby Agility 3 for Agility and Critical chance.
Endgame: try level 5 gear with a 10% success chance.
Advanced Book Priorities
Raise Iaido Slash, Flash Strike, and Volt Surge to level 3.
Push Iaido Slash to level 6.
Finally, upgrade Flash Strike to level 6.
FAQ
Why not use Raijin Slash instead of Scythe Wheel?
Scythe Wheel acts like a DoT and can be canceled for sustained damage. It also enables AoE combos when gathering enemies, generating max Thunder Sigils even without Volt Surge. You can swap to Raijin Slash for safer AoE if you prefer.
Can Iaido Slash be played with high ping?
Yes, auto battle handles the fast button presses better than manual play. High ping doesn’t affect performance significantly.
Is Iaido better than Moonstrike spec?
For single-target fights, yes. Moonstrike is strong but requires constant management of Blade Intent. Iaido can auto-battle most rotations while still dealing higher damage if used correctly.
Is Stormblade the best DPS?
Not currently. Ranged classes outperform Stormblade in general, and its AoE is weak. Stormblade excels in single-target DPS, provided enemies allow you to stand still.
