This Beginner’s Guide to Super Viive
This beginner’s guide is designed for players who have already tried a game or two in the Battle Royale mode of Super Viive. The goal is to explain everything there is to know to start playing efficiently in just a few minutes.
Landing Strategy
When the game begins, the player selected as the drop leader should aim to land on a [ __ ] camp.
To reach your landing zone quickly, eject from the plane a few miles before the target and use the drop animation to reposition directly above it.
Early Game Goals
Your primary goal upon landing is to eliminate one or two creep camps to reach level four.
Level four is the highest level you can achieve through minion farming on day one. Defeating an opposing team will grant you additional XP, allowing you to hit level five faster and unlock your ultimate ability earlier.
There are also consumable XP boost books that drop randomly around the map, which can help you reach higher levels faster. These books have a higher chance of dropping from a specific area called The Academy.
That said, it’s important to know that every area has different drop chances for specific items.
Day One Strategy
If you haven’t defeated any other teams, level five and six will be available to you through PvE on the second day.
So, if you secure an early kill, it’s crucial to take advantage of it by spending the first day and night tracking down enemies who are still level four.
Killing monsters around the map will drop automatically collected points that will evolve your weapons. Reaching the blue variant of your weapon will unlock its unique passive ability, and every additional level will enhance its overall stats.
Quick Looting Tips
After killing an enemy or when you find an enemy death box, the fastest and easiest thing you can do to quickly loot them is to double-press your E button.
This way, you can quickly swap armor into a better one and loot all the important stuff in less than one second.
Improving Day One Armor
The next thing that can make you stronger on day one is acquiring high-tier armor.
You can find better armor by unlocking vaults marked on your map or by visiting one of the shops and purchasing armor with gold.
A quick tip about shops is that you can use the middle mouse button to request gold from your teammate.
This means that one player can find armor around the map while the other can use shared gold to buy one. This strategy can give you a very solid start on day one.
In case you confuse Super Viive’s armor system with those of Call of Duty or Apex Legends, it’s important to note that Super Viive armor provides only a percentage of damage reduction to your health points.
Night One Mini-Bosses
On the first night, mini-bosses will spawn across the map.
While this may seem less important as a beginner since you are not familiar with the items they drop, it is good to know that contesting these mini-bosses can reward you with epic items, making you even stronger.
General Tips
Now that we have covered about 80% of the game, let’s move on to a few general tips.
- One useful thing to note, if you haven’t already, is that your character skills unlock additional passive abilities as you level them up.
- You can choose to level up one ability up to three times, while the others will remain at level two.
Traversal Techniques
A simple yet very effective trick for traversing the abyss is to jump into the V and wait for the red bubble to appear.
Once it does, hold the jump button for a few seconds to propel yourself upwards.
This technique generates momentum, allowing you to cover greater distances. Additionally, it can sometimes be a safer option as it makes it harder for other players to knock you down.
Camera Settings
Lastly, I would like to share my personal opinion on camera settings that might help you aim more efficiently.
I’ve made a very short video explaining why the Dynamic Camera is best among the camera options, which you can fully watch by clicking on the link above.
In general, having the Dynamic Camera preset allows you to see further away and also reduces the amount of movement your eyes have to make to continuously frighten your target.
