Thanatos One shot Build [Jungle] + [Arena] | January 2025 | Smite 2
This is one of the best builds for Thanatos Jungle and Arena in Smite 2 as of January 2025!
It has been collected from Elite player’s Match History from High elo Conquest ranked Games!
This Thanatos build will allow you to one shot your enemies with a single combo.
For Starter Item we like Bumba’s Hammer For its passive that will deal bonus true dmg after we cast a spell.
Jotunn’s Revenge Will give us base stats and cooldown reduction while Hydra’s Lament will amplify our Basic attack’s Damage after every ability.
Heartseeker is a very good item in the meta right now boosting our ability damage even more based on the enemy hp.
The crusher Boost our skill damage even more based on our Strength
Soul Reaver looks like a weird choice but its passive will give us bonus ability damage based on the enemy’s current Hp.
and finally Titan’s Bane for Penetration.

Why Play Thanatos?
Thanatos is a popular assassin in Smite 2, known for his signature Ultimate, which allows him to fly into the sky and execute low-HP targets.
The whole concept of this build, however, is to fit one basic attack after every ability to trigger Hydra’s Lament and execute enemies in just one combo.
Core Build
To achieve this, we’re going to pick Bumba’s Hammer as our starter item, which will also grant additional damage on the next basic attack after each ability cast.
- Jotunn’s Revenge – A very solid option that provides strength and a huge amount of cooldown reduction.
- Hydra’s Lament – A key item in this build, allowing us to deal extra damage after every ability cast with our basic attacks.
- Heartseeker – One of the strongest items in the meta right now, boosting ability damage massively based on our strength and the enemy’s max HP value.
- The Crusher – Increases ability damage based on strength, making it a great synergy item.
- Soul Reaver – A peculiar but effective choice, providing a 10% max HP damage bonus as magic damage on every ability. While its intelligence, mana, and mana regen stats are useless for Thanatos, its passive is strong enough to justify the pick.
