The Best Anubis Build for Mid Lane and Arena in Smite 2
Let’s take a look at one of the best builds for Anubis in Mid Lane and Arena in Smite 2. The core element that makes Anubis a very strong mage is his ability to take advantage of his high DPS abilities, which allow him to gain great lifesteal while dealing tons of damage.
Build Overview
These builds are all formed by researching high-ranking players’ match history and have been tested in both Arena and Conquest matches. You can find many more interesting builds on our website, linked in the description.
Starter Item: Conduit Gem
For our starter item, we will go with Conduit Gem, which will provide Anubis with excellent early-game damage and scaling.
Core Items
Book of Thoth
This is a great first item that will help Anubis scale into the game, providing valuable mana and power. It’s an essential item for most mages.Soul Gem
Next, we’ll grab Soul Gem, which is one of the strongest items in the meta right now. It pairs perfectly with Anubis, giving him massive amounts of lifesteal. The passive effect will deal bonus damage every fourth ability we land on enemies, equal to 30% of our intelligence, plus some healing for both Anubis and his teammates. This item is crucial for survivability and damage output.Totem of Death
For our third core item, Totem of Death is a must-have. Its passive gives us 7.5% penetration every time we hit someone with our abilities, stacking up to four times for a total of 30% penetration. The great thing about Anubis is that his abilities hit multiple times in quick succession, making it incredibly easy to stack this item.
Additional Items
For the final three items, the order in which you build them depends on the situation you’re facing. Here are your options:
Obsidian Shard
If the enemy team has a lot of magic resistance, Obsidian Shard will maximize your penetration and ensure you still deal significant damage.Rod of Tahuti
Rod of Tahuti will give you a huge intelligence power spike and multiply your overall DPS, making it a powerful late-game item.Divine Ruin
Divine Ruin is essential when dealing with heroes that heal themselves, thanks to its strong anti-heal passive effect.
Optional Item: Doom Orb
If the enemy team doesn’t have much healing power, you can skip Divine Ruin and opt for Doom Orb instead. This item will boost your DPS even further, allowing you to dish out more damage.
